Nokomis/Osprey are two small towns nestled in between Sarasota and Venice. Known for its white sandy beaches, Nokomis is home to Nokomis Beach on the southern end of Casey Key. Nokomis is also famous for its North Point Jetty Beach and Park. It is a great spot to watch boats come in and out of the Intercoastal Waterway. Oscar Scherer Park is also located in Osprey, with hiking, walking, fishing, and kayaking opportunities. The Legacy Trail, a premier walking, biking, and running path connects through Osprey.
